Superfine micro leather is a kind of artificial leather, also known as superfine fiber reinforced leather.
Superfine micro leather, full name “superfine fiber reinforced leather”, is a synthetic material made by combining superfine fibers with polyurethane (PU). This material has many excellent properties, such as wear resistance, scratch resistance, waterproof, anti-fouling, etc., and is very similar to natural leather in physical properties, and even performs better in some aspects. The manufacturing process of superfine leather includes multiple steps, from the carding and needle punching of superfine short fibers to form a non-woven fabric with a three-dimensional structure network, to wet processing, PU resin impregnation, leather grinding and dyeing, etc., and finally forms a material with excellent wear resistance, breathability, flexibility and aging resistance.
Compared with natural leather, superfine leather is very similar in appearance and feel, but it is made by artificial means, not extracted from animal leather. This makes superfine leather relatively low in price, while having some advantages of genuine leather, such as wear resistance, cold resistance, breathability, aging resistance, etc. In addition, superfine leather is also environmentally friendly and is an ideal material to replace natural leather. Due to its excellent performance and environmental protection characteristics, microfiber leather has been widely used in many fields such as fashion, furniture, and car interiors.
